me
I work to try and enable the body to function better; whether there is a specific ache, stiffness or trauma or simply a general feeling of stress.
I began training in Northern India in 1999 where I undertook a course in Ayurvedic massage. Since then I have continued learning and working with bodies, which continue to fascinate, bewilder, challenge and inspire me. I qualified in London in therapeutic massage and then went on to study deep tissue work and body alignment as well as Aromatherapy and Reflexology. This led me onto Upledgers Cranio Sacral Therapy, which for me is a quieter way of working with and listening to the body. While I don't practice them, I’ve also studied Reiki, Vortex Healing and an introduction to Psychosynthesis. I did a BA in Social Anthropology and Religions at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) which gave me a deep interest in individuals within the context of a specific culture, different religious texts and experiences of mysticism and different layers of consciousness. I have continued studying for CPD and for my own interests with the West Country school of myth with Martin shaw. Listening to myth and observing where we find ourselves in story. Which led me onto doing my own wilderness vigil which was a 4 day fast sleeping out in a wood in Dartmoor. I have recently completed an introductory course to the foundations of analytical Psychology looking into the life and work of Carl Jung.with the guild of Analytical Psychologists. QUALIFICATIONS
